Cat Myers | Drummer

I’m a UK-based session drummer known for powerful live performances, technical precision, and an ability to blend acoustic drumming with electronic sampling to best serve the music.

I work across both live performance and recording, touring globally with a range of artists and performing on major stages, festivals, and broadcast sessions worldwide.

Since 2021, I’ve been a touring and recording member of Texas, taking part in extensive tours across Europe, Australia and New Zealand, alongside live television and radio appearances.

Between 2017 and 2020, I worked with KT Tunstall, contributing to live shows by recreating her album material for the stage using an advanced setup of triggered samples. By combining acoustic performance with electronic elements, we were able to perform as a duo or as a full band — supporting tours that required flexibility, musical sensitivity, and attention to detail.

Earlier in my career, I toured globally with Mogwai, stepping in at short notice to cover for drummer Martin Bulloch while he underwent heart surgery. This involved joining an established live environment and delivering consistent performances across long international runs, festivals and headline shows.

Alongside touring roles, I record drums for a wide range of artists and projects. Being fluent in sight-reading, playing by ear, and building complete drum parts from scratch, I’m flexible in the studio.

As a Roland Artist and working for Roland Japan directly on the production of new drum samples, I specialise in hybrid drumming.
