Drummer

Cat Myers is a UK-based session drummer known for her powerful live performances, technical precision, and ability to seamlessly blend acoustic drums with electronic sampling. Her career has taken her on multiple world tours with some of the most respected artists in modern music, performing on arena stages, global festival line-ups, and flagship broadcast shows.

Since April 2021, Cat has been the touring and recording drummer for Texas, touring extensively throughout Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. With Texas, she has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, including Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, and appeared on major television broadcasts such as Strictly Come Dancing and The Graham Norton Show, along with countless live radio sessions for BBC Radio 2 and Virgin Radio. As part of her role with the band, Cat performs drums, triggers samples, and provides backing vocals as part of a tightly integrated live production.

Between 2018 and 2021, Cat was the touring drummer for KT Tunstall, where she helped re-create the artist’s album material for the live environment using an advanced hybrid setup of acoustic drums and multiple triggered samples. This technically demanding role saw her touring across the UK, Europe, North America, Mexico and Japan, performing headline tours and major festival shows while operating a complex pedal and trigger system alongside her live playing.

From 2017 to 2018, Cat toured the world as the stand-in drummer for post-rock band Mogwai, covering a full global campaign across Europe, Australia, North America, South America, and Asia. Stepping into an established live show at short notice, she delivered performances on some of the world’s most prestigious stages and broadcast sessions, demonstrating her adaptability, preparation, and musical consistency at the highest level.

Alongside these major touring roles, Cat is an in-demand session drummer available for studio work, touring, and live performance projects. She is fully fluent in sight-reading, playing by ear, and building complete drum parts from scratch, with or without click. As a Roland Artist and working for Roland Japan directly on the production of new drum samples, she specialises in triggering alongside live kit performance, making her equally suited to traditional band settings and modern hybrid productions.
